Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room position for a day-shift assignment supporting surgical services in a Level II trauma setting. The role primarily serves adult patients with occasional pediatric cases and requires flexibility to meet changing operating room needs, including scheduled call coverage.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week; start and stop times may vary based on unit needs. Assignment dates are 11/16/2026 through 02/15/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Operating Room experience; Level II trauma experience; two years of experience; required charting system experience using EPIC; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Scrub experience and experience with neuro, thoracic, general, orthopedic, plastics, robotic, gynecologic, ear, nose and throat, pediatric, urologic, trauma, or vascular procedures.
- Additional Information: The department includes 18 operating rooms, with one reserved for trauma, and typically operates five rooms past 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and two to three rooms on weekends. Cardiac cases are supported by a separate team. Call coverage is required and is typically four shifts during a 12-week rotation. The role may involve a combination of 10-hour and 12-hour shifts, with day, evening, and night scheduling needs. Patient populations include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
