Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room Open Heart. This position supports adult and geriatric cardiovascular surgery services in an operating room setting. The role requires circulating experience, travel experience, Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) experience, and participation in scheduled call coverage while supporting the development of a new cardiovascular surgery program.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; minimum of 3 years of operating room experience; travel nursing experience; circulating experience; required Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) experience; experience with Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures; required Trauma Level II experience; proficiency with cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, general, gynecologic, urologic, and trauma surgical procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience.
Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week, with call every other weekend from Friday at 3:00 PM through Monday at 6:30 AM and an additional 23 weekday call shifts from 3:00 PM through 6:30 AM.
Additional Information: The position supports the development of a new cardiovascular surgery program, including establishing workflows and contributing to program development. The role provides care for adult and geriatric patients and includes circulating responsibilities in cardiovascular surgery.
