Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor Wausau, Wisconsin. This inpatient rehabilitation nursing position provides care for patients recovering from stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac conditions. The 13-week assignment includes rotating 12-hour day and night shifts with weekend and holiday rotation.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour variable shifts, including 6:00 a.m.6:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.6:30 a.m.; 48 hours per week; every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Assignment: 13-week assignment from 01/04/2027 through 04/03/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse license; Associate Degree or certificate; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; experience in an inpatient hospital setting; medical-surgical or rehabilitation nursing background.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree; Epic charting experience; rehabilitation nursing knowledge.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The inpatient rehabilitation unit includes 12 beds, with typical patient ratios of 1:41:6 on evening shifts and 1:8 on night shifts. Primary patient populations include stroke, trauma, debility, amputation, and cardiac cases. The role requires resilience, adaptability, strong work ethic, and effective collaboration. Any color of scrubs may be worn.
