Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit. The position provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards while coordinating and delivering patient care through the nursing process. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, care planning, implementation, evaluation, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration in a healthcare setting.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Nursing diploma or associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing; one year of nursing experience; current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina; Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross; demonstrated skills in clinical nursing care, the nursing process, patient education, patient assessment, and point-of-care testing.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Provides care for patients with complex conditions, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs. Responsibilities include prioritizing care, identifying patient outcomes, developing and updating care plans, assessing discharge needs, supporting patient and family advocacy, participating in performance improvement activities, promoting continuity of care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary resources.
