Certified Operating Room Tech specializing in surgical services. The position supports surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile operating environment, preparing equipment and instrumentation, and assisting with patient care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role requires orthopedic, surgical scrubbing, robotic-assisted surgical system, and travel experience.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technician certification; completion of a Certified Surgical Technician program; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; travel experience; orthopedic experience; surgical scrubbing experience; robotic-assisted surgical system experience; knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection processes for operating room equipment and instrumentation.
- Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week; 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. schedule, with weekend, on-call, and holiday coverage required.
- Additional Information: Functions under the direct supervision of a registered nurse to assist with surgical patient preparation and nursing care. Performs technical scrub duties, responds efficiently to surgical needs, helps maintain a sterile operating room, verifies that surgical equipment is functioning safely, and assists surgeons during procedures. May be asked to precept new staff and must be available to report promptly when called in.
