Job Summary
Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist Operating Room Open Heart Aurora, Colorado. The position supports open-heart surgical procedures in an acute care setting and requires strong technical proficiency, adaptability, and teamwork. The role includes scheduled day shifts, on-call responsibilities, and collaboration with operating room clinical teams.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of current acute care cardiovascular operating room surgical technologist experience in a hospital setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS), DORA, and NBSTA certifications must be held at the time of submission
- Proficiency with open-heart procedures
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with Meditech
- Previous travel experience as a cardiovascular operating room surgical technologist in a large trauma facility
- Cardiovascular experience
- Additional Information:
- On-call participation is required, with a 30-minute response time; specific call details will be discussed during the interview
- Weekend shifts are not required
- Typical procedures include coronary artery bypass grafting, abdominal aortic aneurysm procedures, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and valve replacements
- The role requires flexibility, confidence, teamwork, effective communication, and a strong focus on patient experience
