Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician, Orthopedic Specialty. This position supports surgical procedures across general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, neurologic, spine, and trauma specialties. The surgical technologist must be able to precept others and participate in call rotation, weekend coverage, and holiday coverage as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts consist of 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Five years of current surgical technologist experience.
  • Experience required in general, gynecologic, vascular, thoracic, orthopedicincluding total joint proceduresneurologic head and spine, and trauma cases.
  • National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • Ability to precept other surgical technologists.
  • Ability to participate in call rotation.
  • Personal vehicle required.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cesarean sections, ear, nose, and throat procedures, plastic surgery, and robotic surgery.
  • Experience with robotic surgical systems.
• Additional Information:
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage may be required.
  • Travelers may be required to work one designated holiday block when scheduled.
  • Two recent supervisory signed references from the past two years of employment are required.
  • All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application.
  • Scrubs are provided.
