Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor, Naperville, IL. This position provides care for patients requiring medical-surgical and neurotelemetry services, including those with cerebrovascular accidents, transient ischemic attacks, subdural hematomas, and seizure disorders. The role also supports postoperative recovery for surgical oncology and vascular surgery patients.
Job Details
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts beginning at 07:00, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license in Illinois; Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); two or more years of experience; travel nursing experience; experience caring for neurotelemetry patients and patients with cerebrovascular accidents, transient ischemic attacks, subdural hematomas, and seizure disorders; experience with postoperative surgical oncology and vascular surgery recovery; candidates with temporary licenses must be actively obtaining a permanent license and provide confirmation of the permanent license application.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Weekend coverage is assigned every other weekend for both Saturday and Sunday day shifts. Holiday coverage is required as needed, including one minor and one major holiday when applicable during the assignment. Clinical responsibilities include postoperative recovery following Whipple procedures, esophagectomies, colon resections, peripheral angiograms, peripheral arterial disease with wounds, and amputations. Chemotherapy administration is not included.
