Registered Nurse Operating Room Open Heart | Greenville, NC

The Registered Nurse will provide perioperative care for cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and foregut surgical patients in a cardiovascular operating room environment. The position will circulate during complex surgical procedures and support safe, coordinated care throughout the operating room process.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse license with compact licensure accepted; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); at least 2 years of cardiovascular operating room experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Surgical scrub experience is preferred but not required.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with call coverage for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include circulating for cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and foregut procedures; maintaining a safe operating room environment; preparing and managing surgical equipment and supplies; maintaining the sterile field; managing specimens; and completing surgical counts. The patient population includes coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, left ventricular assist device placement, vascular procedures, thoracotomy, video-assisted thoracoscopy, esophageal and hernia repairs, bronchoscopy, esophagoscopy, and robotic procedures. The assignment is scheduled from 11/23/2026 through 02/21/2027.
