Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. The position provides direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions. The role manages assigned patients, addresses physical, psychosocial, safety, rehabilitative, and learning needs, and directs ancillary staff in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Two years of Emergency Room experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications.
• Schedule: Day shift, three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; 36 hours per week; weekend rotation required; no on-call requirement.
• Responsibilities: Provide direct nursing care, manage assigned patients, coordinate care with physicians and allied support services, and direct ancillary staff activities.
• Additional Information: Patient care includes neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The emergency department treats a broad range of medical emergencies, trauma, stroke, and ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) cases. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial services.
