Job Summary

Surgical Technician Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician. This position is responsible for preparing surgical procedures, assisting the surgeon, sterilizing surgical equipment, and assembling scheduled and emergency case carts. The role requires operating room scrubbing experience, relevant certification and registration, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Job Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week; call rotation is one day per week, occasionally two days, and every fifth weekend.
• Required Qualifications:
  • National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification as a surgical technologist
  • Certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of scrubbing experience in an operating room setting
  • Good communication skills
