Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT) position supporting surgical procedures and operating room operations. The role is responsible for preparing surgical equipment, assisting during procedures, maintaining sterilization standards, and assembling scheduled and emergency case carts.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; high school diploma or equivalency; at least 2 years of scrubbing experience in an operating room setting; strong communication skills.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an 8-hour shift, 40 hours per week, a call rotation of 1 day per week occasionally increasing to 2 days, and every fifth weekend.
• Additional Information: Responsible for planning and preparing for surgical procedures, assisting the surgeon, sterilizing surgical equipment, and assembling scheduled and emergency case carts.
• Assignment Dates: 11/16/2026 through 02/13/2027.
