Job Summary

Telemetry position. The role supports adult and geriatric patients in a high-volume emergency holding and cardiac telemetry setting, including stroke-related care. The assignment requires strong telemetry skills, electronic charting experience with Epic, and the ability to manage complex cardiac and medical-surgical patient needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and weekend coverage every other shift.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; compact state license in hand at submission; Epic charting experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience; community hospital experience; Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) experience; Trauma Level I or Trauma Level II experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients.
  • Patient ratios are approximately 4:1 on day shifts.
  • Clinical setting includes cardiac telemetry and stroke care.
  • Responsibilities may include cardiac rhythm interpretation, telemetry monitoring, central line and peripheral line care, blood product administration, management of feeding tubes and surgical drains, wound care, and noninvasive airway management.
  • Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, intravenous insulin protocols, heparin protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, post-cardiac catheterization care, and renal failure management is applicable.
  • Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
  • Two professional references covering at least one year within the last three years are required during the compliance process.
