Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. The position provides independent and delegated nursing care, including assessment, care planning, implementation, evaluation, health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment. The Registered Nurse documents care, monitors treatment plans, refers patients for additional evaluation when needed, and supports safe, effective patient outcomes.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Registered Nurse; Bachelors degree in Nursing; certification appropriate for the unit or service.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: Responsibilities include collecting and assessing health data, developing and evaluating nursing care plans, providing health education and counseling, delivering supportive and restorative therapy, executing delegated medical functions, referring patients for further evaluation or treatment, monitoring treatment plans, documenting care in accordance with regulatory guidelines, and using available resources to support patient care.
