Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position providing critical care for patients with neurological and other complex conditions. The role involves managing critically ill patients, titrating medications, and supporting 12-hour night-shift coverage in an acute care setting.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications; a minimum of 2 years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday shifts are scheduled as needed.
• Additional Information: Patient populations may include individuals with strokes, dialysis needs, intracranial hemorrhages, ventriculostomies, external ventricular drains, and other neurological disorders requiring critical care. Responsibilities include titrating medications such as norepinephrine, phenylephrine, midazolam, paralytics, heparin, insulin, and nicardipine. The unit supports mechanical ventilation, continuous positive airway pressure, bilevel positive airway pressure, high-flow oxygen, and nasal cannula therapy.
