Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department. This position supports patient care across labor and delivery and medical-surgical services in an acute care setting. The role requires independent practice in the emergency department and the ability to care for medical-surgical patients while supporting obstetric patients.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend and holiday, with three call shifts required during a 13-week assignment.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of experience; at least 6 months of medical-surgical experience and 6 months of obstetric experience within the past year; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; active license required for submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Additional Information:
  • Ability to function independently in the emergency department and care for up to five medical-surgical patients.
  • Assignment includes work across obstetric and medical-surgical units.
  • Navy blue scrubs without logos are required.
  • Training includes electronic charting, obstetric, and medical-surgical orientation.
  • Badge-in and badge-out procedures are required.
  • The role may include general labor and delivery, obstetric, and medical-surgical nursing duties.
