Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Long Term Acute Care, Fort Mohave, Arizona. This position supports operating room services within a healthcare facility serving adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. Responsibilities include scheduled and emergency cesarean sections, general, endoscopy, orthopedic, obstetric, and gynecologic procedures, with participation in shared call coverage.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse license in a compact state or Arizona
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Registered Nurse education
  • One to two years of experience in an acute care facility
  • Skills and experience in general, endoscopy, orthopedic, obstetric, and gynecologic procedures
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification; certification may be obtained onsite
• Additional Information:
  • Shared on-call coverage with other operating room registered nurses, generally beginning at 5:00 p.m.
  • Float rotation may include the post-anesthesia care unit for a second registered nurse.
  • Patient population consists of approximately 70% adults, 28% geriatric patients, and 2% pediatric patients.
  • The unit includes six operating rooms and one endoscopy suite, with patient ratios of 1:1.
  • Approximately 90% of patients are outpatient and 10% are inpatient.
  • Scrubs are provided.
