Description
Job Summary
Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician (ORT) Days. The surgical technician supports cardiovascular operating room procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and minimally invasive and open valve replacements. The role includes scrubbing responsibilities, participation in call coverage, and collaboration during approximately two cases per day.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week, including weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage. At least 10 call shifts are required within a six-week schedule, with a 30-minute call response time.
- Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Crisis Protocol approval; at least two years of cardiac experience; scrubbing experience; willingness to participate in required call coverage.
- Additional Information: Supports cardiovascular operating room procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, and minimally invasive and open valve replacements. Unit-specific orientation is provided, and scrubs are provided. Cancellation may be permitted for up to four shifts during a 13-week assignment or three shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.
