Description

Job Summary

Labor and Delivery Department Michigan. The position collaborates with physicians to develop and implement plans of care that support optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include bedside nursing care, carrying out medical orders, delegating and overseeing support staff functions, and evaluating the effectiveness of care plans.

Job Details

Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of obstetric experience; AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) certification completed within the last 2 years; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); Michigan state licensure.
Schedule: Night shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; every other weekend and on-call coverage are required.
Additional Information: Provides bedside nursing care, carries out medical orders, delegates and oversees support staff functions, collaborates with physicians on patient care plans, and evaluates care effectiveness.
