Description
Job Summary
Surgical Technician, Operating Room Specialty. This travel position supports orthopedic, spine, general, and podiatric surgical procedures in a day-shift operating room setting. The assignment is scheduled from 11/30/2026 through 03/01/2027 and includes clinical call responsibilities.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10 hours per shift, four shifts per week, for a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call includes three weeknight shifts from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and three weekend shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. during each six-week schedule.
- Required Qualifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Washington surgical technologist license.
- At least one year of experience in general operating room procedures, spine, orthopedics, podiatry, and Mako surgical robotics.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Supports adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations.
- Works in a nine-room operating room environment.
- Performs duties involving aseptic technique, instrument processing, sterilization and disinfection, specimen handling and labeling, isolation precautions, sharps safety, fire safety, and universal surgical time-out procedures.
- Uses surgical scopes, fiber-optic equipment, electrosurgical units, drills, and Mako surgical robotics.
- Participates in procedures including arthroscopy, fracture reduction, laminectomy and discectomy, lumbar fusion, spinal fusion, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, bunionectomy, and ankle fusion.
