Description

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor. The registered nurse provides patient care by applying the nursing process, critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and applicable policies and procedures. The role includes maintaining clinical competency, coordinating patient-care priorities, and providing direction and supervision to assigned personnel.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Texas Registered Nurse license or multistate compact license
- One year of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience in a hospital setting
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
- Provides care for Emergency Room patients while following the nursing process and applicable practice standards.
- Applies critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to support safe patient care.
- Delegates patient-care priorities according to the education and experience of available staff.
- Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
- May float to telemetry or long-term acute care areas based on census.
- Assignment dates are 11/16/2026 through 02/15/2027.
