Description
Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Department. This role supports care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery in a recently renovated unit with private rooms, modern equipment, and multiple pain-management options. The care environment promotes immediate skin-to-skin contact, rooming-in, breastfeeding support, and family involvement, with access to a Level IIB Special Care Nursery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.; 12-hour shifts; 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Massachusetts nursing license required at submission.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additional Information:
- Practice in a recently renovated Labor and Delivery unit with 10 upgraded Labor, Delivery, and Recovery rooms.
- Private rooms include bathrooms with showers, overnight support-person accommodations, televisions, and additional amenities.
- Hydrotherapy labor tub available to support comfort and reduce the need for interventions.
- Nitrous oxide, epidural anesthesia available around the clock, and additional pain-management options offered.
- Level IIB Special Care Nursery available.
- Rooming-in model supports parent-infant bonding and breastfeeding success.
