Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Department This position supports comprehensive care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and recovery. The role is based in a recently renovated unit with private labor, delivery, and recovery rooms, hydrotherapy options, multiple pain-management interventions, and a Level IIB Special Care Nursery.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Massachusetts license required at submission.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additional Information:
- The unit includes 10 private labor, delivery, and recovery rooms with private bathrooms and showers, overnight support-person accommodations, televisions, and patient amenities.
- Hydrotherapy labor tubs, nitrous oxide, epidurals available 24/7, and additional pain-management options are available.
- Immediate skin-to-skin contact, early bonding, and rooming-in practices are supported.
- The unit delivers approximately 2,600 births annually.
- Care is supported by a Level IIB Special Care Nursery (SCN).
