Description
Job Summary
Surgical Technologist, Certified Operating Room Tech, supports surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists during operative procedures. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining the sterile field, anticipating surgical instrument needs, monitoring applicable equipment, and supporting pre- and post-surgical patient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- NBSTSA certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Three years of recent surgical technologist experience in a hospital setting
- Additional Information:
- Prepare, assemble, transport, and retrieve surgical equipment.
- Maintain sterile linens, saline, surgical lights, suction machines, and other necessary supplies.
- Inspect, maintain, decontaminate, and repair surgical equipment.
- Keep surgical equipment inventory records current.
- Assist with pre- and post-surgical patient care, including shaving, transportation, and dressing application.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians throughout surgical procedures.
