Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Operating Room. This assignment supports perioperative care in a Level II trauma setting with primarily adult patients and occasional pediatric cases. The role requires day-shift availability, participation in department call, and experience with Level II trauma cases.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience
- Level II trauma experience
- Valid compact nursing license in hand at submission
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Operating Room scrub experience
- Trauma Level I experience
- Service-line experience in neuro, thoracic, general, orthopedic, plastics, robotics, gynecology, ear, nose and throat, pediatrics, urology, trauma, or vascular procedures
- Additional Information:
- Departmental call is required, typically involving approximately four call shifts during a 12-week rotation.
- Weekend coverage may be required based on scheduling needs.
- The operating room department includes 18 rooms Monday through Friday, with one room reserved for trauma.
- Five rooms operate past 5:00 p.m. daily, with two to three rooms operating on weekends.
- A separate team handles cardiac cases.
- The patient population is primarily adult, with occasional pediatric patients.
- All requested time off and specific scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application.
- Assignment start date is 11/23/2026.
