Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery, Los Angeles, California. The position delivers coordinated nursing care to individual patients or assigned patient groups according to established standards and the nursing process. Responsibilities include supervising assigned nursing staff, coordinating interdisciplinary care, applying critical thinking, and supporting safe, compassionate patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification; Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Advanced Fetal Monitoring course upon hire and every two years for experienced nurses.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); acute care facility experience.
- Additional Information:
- Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to identify diagnoses and care needs.
- Develops, implements, and evaluates individualized plans of care.
- Coordinates care delivery and promotes a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Provides health education to patients, families, and team members.
- Participates in discharge planning to promote continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members.
- Required vaccinations must be received as a condition of employment and renewed as applicable; medical and religious exemptions may apply.
