Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This role supports emergency care in an acute care setting, caring for patients with a range of medical, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and traumatic conditions. The position includes 12-hour night shifts, clinical collaboration with respiratory therapy and support personnel, and floating within the assigned regional zone as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts of 11.5 hours, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required. The schedule is determined by leadership based on operational needs.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of emergency department experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); active license required for submission.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for approximately 30 patients per day, with nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:45 based on acuity.
  • Common patient conditions include abdominal pain, diabetes mellitus, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension.
  • Respiratory therapy is available around the clock for breathing treatments and arterial blood gas testing.
  • Registered Nurses must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips.
  • Registered Nurses receive training and perform point-of-care laboratory testing.
  • Assignment dates are 11/30/2026 through 03/01/2027.
