Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room, Tacoma, WA. The position provides emergency nursing care for patients with conditions including stroke, trauma, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and acute coronary syndrome. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support services and participation in an every-other-weekend schedule.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: At least 2 years of emergency nursing experience; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications; nursing license required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel assignment experience.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care for emergency patients, including stroke, trauma, ST-elevation myocardial infarction, and acute coronary syndrome cases.
- Typical patient-to-nurse ratios are 3:1 to 4:1.
- Respiratory therapy, pharmacy, laboratory, intravenous therapy, and security support are available.
- Weekend coverage is required every other weekend, with occasional holiday coverage.
- Navy blue scrubs are required.
- Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
