Job Summary

Intermediate Care Unit position supporting cardiac intermediate-care and step-down patients in a collaborative, teaching-focused environment. The assignment is scheduled from 12/14/2026 through 03/13/2027 and includes night shifts, holiday coverage, and potential charge responsibilities with training provided.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar intermediate-care setting.
  • Active compact nursing license required upon start.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides care for cardiac intermediate-care patients with varying acuity levels.
  • Familiarity with vital-signs machines, glucometers, sequential compression devices, bladder scanners, vein finders, remote telemetry, wound vacuum devices, intravenous pumps, pulse oximeters, chest tubes, tube-feeding pumps, and oxygen-delivery devices is relevant to the role.
  • At least one major holiday assignment is required, including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and/or New Years Day.
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this unit.
  • Approved COVID-19 and influenza vaccine declinations are accepted.
  • The healthcare provider operates in a teaching environment, and the selected clinician is expected to support students and newly hired staff.
  • Orientation occurs every other Monday.
