Job Summary

Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Open Heart. This position supports cardiovascular surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. Responsibilities include assisting with complex cardiac procedures, functioning independently, and participating in scheduled and on-call coverage across multiple healthcare facilities.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with on-call coverage for two weekends per month and two weekdays per week on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
• Required Qualifications: Surgical technologist certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience; adaptability in a fast-paced operating room environment; ability to function independently.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides coverage across multiple healthcare facilities as assigned.
  • Supports cardiovascular operating room procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve replacement, thoracotomy, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, pacemaker procedures, tracheostomy, and Maze procedures.
  • On-call and scheduled assignments are subject to confirmation of the candidates ability to perform independently.
  • Scrubs are provided in the operating room.
