Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. The position provides comprehensive nursing care to assigned patients in an acute care setting while supporting patients and families across the lifespan. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, documentation, and delivery of competent, compassionate, and efficient care.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited or National League for Nursing-approved registered nursing program.
- Current state or compact nursing license.
- Current National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- At least 2 years of full-time Medical-Surgical experience in an acute care setting.
- Additional Information:
- Performs initial and ongoing assessments, including review of systems, for assigned patients.
- Determines appropriate nursing needs and documents assessments according to established policies and procedures.
- Completes admission assessments within the required timeframe.
- Applies knowledge of growth and development to provide age-appropriate care.
- Obtains and interprets patient information to identify care needs.
- Demonstrates understanding of treatment needs for assigned patients.
- A pre-employment assessment may be required.
- Assignment dates are 11/16/2026 through 02/13/2027.
