Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. The role provides competent, compassionate, and efficient care to patients across the lifespan in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, identification of nursing needs, age-appropriate care, and accurate clinical documentation.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited or National League for Nursing-approved registered nursing program.
  • Current state or compact nursing license.
  • Current National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
  • At least 2 years of full-time Medical-Surgical experience in an acute care setting.
• Additional Information:
  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments, including a review of systems, for assigned patients.
  • Completes admission assessments within established time frames and according to applicable policies and procedures.
  • Obtains and interprets patient information to determine appropriate nursing needs.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the treatment needs of assigned patients.
  • Provides age-appropriate care based on knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan.
  • Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation.
