Description
Job Summary
Certified Operating Room Tech (ORT CERT) responsible for planning and preparing surgical procedures, assisting the surgeon, sterilizing surgical equipment, and assembling scheduled and emergency case carts. The role supports a range of surgical specialties, including ENT, general, gynecologic, neurological, orthopedic, urologic, vascular, and robotic procedures.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of four 10-hour shifts beginning at 6:30 a.m. during the MondayFriday workweek, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Days are assigned based on unit needs, and call coverage is required.
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience
- Experience with ENT, general, gynecologic, neurological, cranial, spinal, orthopedic, urologic, vascular, and robotic procedures
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- High school diploma
- Strong communication skills
- Additional Information:
- Plans and prepares for surgical procedures
- Assists the surgeon during procedures
- Sterilizes surgical equipment
- Assembles scheduled and emergency case carts
- Provides 10 call shifts per month, including weekends
