Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room, Newburgh. The registered nurse will provide perioperative care for gynecologic surgery, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, robotic procedures, plastic surgery, and select general surgery cases. The assignment is scheduled for 12 weeks with day shifts and requires strong assessment, critical-thinking, resilience, and adaptability.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts of 10 hours, with start times between 6:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.; 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Indiana registered nurse license or compact license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Associate degree or certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years of operating room or surgery experience
  • Electronic medical record experience using EPIC
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
• Additional Information:
  • Patient population includes gynecologic surgery, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, robotic procedures, plastic surgery, and select general surgery.
  • One on-call shift per week is required.
  • Weekend coverage includes three weekends during the 12-week assignment.
  • Holiday coverage is required as needed.
  • Facility-provided attire is available.
  • The role requires strong assessment and critical-thinking skills, resilience, adaptability, and effective collaboration.
