Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit Memphis. The Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients in a progressive care setting, develops and follows individualized plans of care, and supports patient education, rehabilitation, safety, and discharge planning. The role also provides direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while promoting continuity of care and positive patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift for designated assignments.
• Preferred Qualifications: Two years of bedside clinical experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Complete nursing assessments within eight hours of admission and use findings to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Provide direct patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programming and interdisciplinary care conferences.
  • Initiate discharge planning and patient education from admission through discharge.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely in the medical record.
  • Communicate changes in patient status to appropriate care providers to support continuity of care and patient safety.
  • Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
  • Promote personal and environmental safety in accordance with nursing policies and procedures.
  • Assume charge responsibilities following the orientation period as requested.
  • Pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
