Job Summary

Operating Room specialty. The position supports orthopedic and spine surgical care across total joint, hand, foot and ankle, neuro spine, and related procedures. The assignment includes a four-day daytime schedule, call coverage, and collaboration across designated surgical areas.

Job Details

• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week. Call coverage is required for three shifts every six weeks and may change.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Compact nursing license in hand at submission
  • Required experience with Epic charting
  • Experience with orthopedic and spine procedures, including total joint replacement, spinal fusion, laminectomy/discectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, and minimally invasive surgery
  • Ability to circulate for orthopedic, spine, robotic, general, urology, gynecology, bariatric, minor vascular, plastic, and thoracic procedures
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Scrub experience
  • Experience with robotic surgical procedures
  • Jackson table experience
  • Hana table experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • The surgical service includes total joint, hand, foot and ankle, spine, and neuro spine procedures.
  • The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
  • The surgical caseload includes both inpatient and outpatient procedures.
  • Candidates should be prepared to support simple through complex spine surgeries and robotic procedures.
  • Orientation includes 20 hours.
  • Three of five designated holidays may be required: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, or New Years Day.
  • All time-off and scheduling requests should be submitted before assignment confirmation.
