Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Operating Room. The position provides perioperative patient care as a member of the surgical team, supporting safe and timely procedures through critical thinking, clinical judgment, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include assisting during surgical cases, coordinating patient care, communicating with families, and supervising personnel.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating schedule with eight-hour shifts and a minimum of 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday with on-call coverage for nights and weekends.
• Required Qualifications: Active California Registered Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; at least two years of experience; prior travel experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Provides patient care in the operating room according to nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, physician orders, and departmental policies.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning patient care.
  • Ensures surgical supplies are available and cases remain timely.
  • Communicates with patients families and updates physician preference cards.
  • Scrubs and assists physicians during surgical procedures.
  • Supervises personnel delivering patient care.
