Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Pediatric Transport Nurse, Seattle area This role supports ground transportation of neonatal and pediatric patients from emergency departments, intensive care units, labor and delivery units, and other care areas to higher-acuity care. The nurse collaborates with respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers while providing care during transport and may float to neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, or pediatric units.
Job Details
- Schedule: Nights, three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., 36 hours per week; every other weekend required.
- Required Qualifications: At least 1 year of nursing experience; ground transportation experience; charting system experience; active compact nursing license in hand at submission; Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Provides ground transportation for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
- Collaborates with respiratory therapists and advanced practice providers during patient transport.
- Supports patient pickups from emergency departments, neonatal intensive care units, labor and delivery units, and other patient care areas.
- May provide bedside nursing support in neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, or pediatric units.
- Relevant clinical skills include ventilator management, airway care, arterial line management, central line blood draws, continuous sedation, intravenous vasopressors, chest tube management, dysrhythmia interpretation, pediatric dosage calculations, tracheostomy care, and neonatal and pediatric intensive care transport.
- No call is required.
