Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Floor. This position provides care for adult inpatients with a variety of medical conditions and post-operative needs, including orthopedic and general surgery recovery, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and alcohol-related conditions. The role supports a primarily elderly patient population, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, every other weekend, with rotating holidays.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of equivalent experience; completion of at least 2 previous travel assignments; New Hampshire Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license with proof of state residency; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience with post-surgical drains, central line care and maintenance, Foley catheter insertion, gastrostomy (G) tubes, jejunostomy (J) tubes, nasogastric (NG) tubes, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tubes, intravenous (IV) medication administration and IV push, wound care, and oxygen therapy.
- Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification and telemetry experience.
- Additional Information:
- Provides care on a 27-bed medical-surgical unit.
- Patient population may include adults as young as 18, with primarily elderly patients.
- Common diagnoses include post-operative orthopedic and general surgery cases, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and alcohol-related conditions.
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 5:1; licensed nursing assistant-to-patient ratio is 3:1.
- Assignment dates are 11/23/2026 through 02/22/2027.
