Job Summary

Surgical Technician, Operating Room Technician Hawaii. This position supports surgical services in a large academic medical center with a Level 1 trauma designation. The role requires expertise in general surgery, with additional experience in trauma, orthopedics, gynecology, ear, nose, and throat, neurological, and cardiac procedures preferred.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts; 8-hour shifts; 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Completion of a surgical technology, operating room technician, or comparable training program.
  • Association of Surgical Technologists certification; candidates without certification must provide evidence of completing a surgical technology program.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Health Care Professional (HCP) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification valid for the duration of the assignment.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) in a large academic medical center with a Level 1 trauma designation.
  • Experience in general surgery.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in trauma, orthopedics, gynecology, ear, nose, and throat, neurological, and cardiac procedures.
• Additional Information:
  • Compliance documentation must be completed and submitted at least 10 days before the contract start date to prevent a delayed start or shortened assignment.
  • The role supports surgical services in a Level 1 trauma environment.
