Description

Job Summary

Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab, Michigan. The position supports patients undergoing complex cardiac and vascular procedures in a specialized procedural setting. Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure care, advanced cardiac patient management, and participation in on-call coverage.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shifts are 10 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience
- Strong cardiac proficiency
- Holding experience with pre- and post-procedure care
- ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) experience
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Michigan state licensure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Phillips and Cerner
- Previous travel experience
Additional Information:
- Experience with heart catheterizations, coronary and peripheral angioplasties, stent procedures, lytic therapy, embolizations, and Impella patient management
- Experience with structural heart procedures, including atrial septal defect (ASD) and ventricular septal defect (VSD) repairs
- Experience with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, tilt table testing, pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), electrophysiology (EP) studies, and complex ablations, particularly atrial fibrillation procedures
- Experience with thoracenteses, paracenteses, and tunneled catheter placements
- On-call coverage is one day per week and one weekend per month; weekend coverage occurs when called in during an assigned on-call period
