Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department, Lincolnton, NC provides care for patients throughout labor, delivery, triage, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. The role supports a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum setting and requires strong clinical skills in labor management, cesarean section support, newborn resuscitation, and patient monitoring.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM) certification.
  • Labor and delivery, maternity/postpartum, and registered nursing skills.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Provide care for labor, triage, postpartum, and newborn patients.
  • Manage labor, including Pitocin and epidural management.
  • Circulate cesarean sections and provide preoperative and post-anesthesia care.
  • Perform newborn resuscitation.
  • Follow Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) staffing guidelines.
  • Participate in weekend rotation every other weekend.
  • Work 75% of recognized holidays.
  • Complete departmental orientation, including neonatal education.
  • Support patient care in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum areas within the applicable scope of practice.
