Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Long Term Acute Care. The role supports respiratory-focused and ventilator-dependent patients across specialized medical, respiratory, rehabilitation, and chronic-care units. The position involves floating based on weekly operational needs and performing complex clinical procedures in a medically focused environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with 12 years of experience and prior travel experience. Must be willing to obtain an influenza vaccination or provide a medical declination that is not personal or religious.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for respiratory or ventilator-dependent patients is strongly preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • Supports respiratory-focused and ventilator-dependent patients in respiratory care and respiratory step-down units.
  • May float to medically complex rehabilitation, cardiac-monitoring, traumatic brain injury, chronic-care, medical, rehabilitation, and respiratory units based on weekly need.
  • Respiratory therapists manage ventilators; nursing responsibilities include intravenous starts, medication drips, blood administration, electrocardiograms (EKGs), medication titration, glucose monitoring, wound-vac changes, wound care, tracheostomy care, suctioning, catheter care, port access, central-line dressing changes, and wound measurements.
  • Pediatric assignments are not expected unless the Registered Nurse has pediatric-specific qualifications.
  • Orientation is held every Monday.
