Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Telemetry The role provides independent nursing and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards and state Board of Nursing requirements. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; monitoring health data and treatment plans; providing education, counseling, therapy, and referrals; and completing required documentation.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, as appropriate for the unit or service.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- Certification appropriate for the unit or service.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Performs nursing assessments and evaluates health status through ongoing collection and review of patient data.
- Provides health teaching, health counseling, therapy, and treatment that support patient well-being.
- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
- Refers patients for additional evaluation or treatment when needed.
- Documents care in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- May be required to provide on-call coverage during a regularly scheduled shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
