Job Summary

Telemetry position supporting med-surg telemetry care for a geriatric patient population. The role includes monitoring and managing complex medical conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams, and floating to alternate campuses as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and NICHES certifications. Experience caring for a patient ratio of 5:1 and required charting system experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Med-surg telemetry assignment with weekend coverage.
  • Float rotation to alternate campuses may be required.
  • Orientation includes 16 hours.
  • Clinical responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia management, central line and peripherally inserted central catheter care, blood product administration, tracheostomy care, wound care, feeding tube management, chest tube management, oxygen therapy, intravenous therapy, and management of renal failure and cerebrovascular accident patients.
  • The patient population includes geriatric patients with delirium, falls, hip fractures, cellulitis, acute renal failure, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, and cerebrovascular accidents.
