Description

Job Summary

Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician Phoenix, AZ. This position performs technical functions that support operating procedures by ensuring the availability of supplies and equipment and maintaining a sterile field. The assignment supports pediatric surgical services and requires day-shift availability, call coverage, and holiday coverage.

Job Details

Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Call and holiday coverage are required. Assignment dates are 12/07/2026 through 03/07/2027.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Surgical Technician program or an equivalent one-to-one combination of post-secondary education and experience.
- At least 2 years of Surgical Technician experience in a surgery setting.
- At least 2 years of pediatric operating room experience.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
Additional Information:
- Performs technical functions and duties to support operating procedures.
- Ensures the availability of surgical supplies and equipment.
- Maintains a sterile field during operating procedures.
- COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required.
- Influenza vaccination is required from October through April. Exemption applications must be approved before the assignment begins.
- Individuals who are not vaccinated for influenza or COVID-19 must sign declination and masking protocol agreements and wear a mask during respiratory virus season.
