Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Emergency Room Multiple Locations. This role provides emergency nursing care for patients across all age groups in a short-term acute care setting. Responsibilities include rapid assessment, management of complex and critically ill patients, dysrhythmia interpretation, ventilated patient care, and coordination with interdisciplinary support services.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required no more than every other weekend; no on-call requirement.
- Required Qualifications:
- At least 1.5 years of experience
- Compact registered nurse license in hand at submission
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information:
- Expected patient ratio of 1:4
- Care provided for patients across all age groups in a typical emergency department
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, central line care, continuous intravenous sedation, intravenous vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, arterial blood gas interpretation, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, personal protective equipment, and triage
- Stroke center environment with interpretation services available
- A vehicle is required for the assignment
- Twenty-four hours of orientation are provided
- Availability to work three of five designated holidays is required
