Description
Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Medical Surgical Floor. The position coordinates individualized plans of care, provides age-appropriate nursing interventions and patient education, and collaborates with multidisciplinary care teams. The role also supports safe clinical decision-making and directs assigned patient care support staff.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week; weekend and holiday coverage required.
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an associate degree, diploma, or bachelors degree.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 9 months of hire.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- Chemotherapy certification.
- Additional education or training in related fields.
- Additional Information:
- Coordinates care using a multidisciplinary and holistic approach.
- Provides patient, family, guardian, and designated surrogate education.
- Uses nursing standards of practice to address complex and unpredictable care needs.
- Promotes patient participation in care and supports appropriate health outcomes.
- Maintains confidentiality, sound judgment, and effective verbal and nonverbal communication.
- Makes appropriate decisions under pressure and works collaboratively with the care team.
