Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Emergency Room. This full-time position provides routine and complex nursing care in an emergency care setting, including assessment, treatment administration, monitoring, documentation, and patient education. The role involves coordinating care, making appropriate assignments, and supporting patients and families with complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM7:00 PM, 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
  • Registered Nurse license in Texas or a compact state
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
  • One year of experience in a related nursing specialty
• Additional Information:
  • Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
  • Provides nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
  • Administers medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols and monitors for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
  • Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
  • Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
  • Makes appropriate assignments and delegates tasks to other care providers.
  • Completes required orientation and competency validations applicable to the role.
