Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician specializing in operating room services; location not specified. The role supports surgical procedures across trauma, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, gynecologic, urologic, plastic, general, and robotic specialties. The position requires day shifts, participation in call coverage, and experience with Level II trauma cases and craniotomies.

Job Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week; occasional weekend call coverage may be required.
• Required Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a surgical technician.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Valid Washington license.
  • Experience in Level II trauma, craniotomy, neuro-spine, vascular, orthopedic, and general surgical procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • National Certification Corporation (NBSTSA) certification.
  • Experience with complex surgical procedures, including spinal fusion, laminectomy, fracture reduction, total joint replacement, vascular repair, thoracic procedures, robotic surgery, and trauma cases.
• Additional Information:
  • Call coverage may include weekday overnight call and 12-hour call shifts during the assignment.
  • The surgical environment includes 18 operating rooms and approximately 5060 cases per day.
  • Patient populations include adults and geriatric patients.
  • Surgical services include orthopedic, neurological, gynecologic, urologic, plastic, general, robotic, vascular, thoracic, and cardiac procedures.
  • Orientation includes 40 hours.
  • Scrub attire may be any color except reddish orange.
  • The position may involve caring for trauma patients and performing procedures such as craniotomies, vascular surgery, spinal procedures, thoracotomies, and robotic surgery.
